What is self-paced learning?
SOAR™ is a self-paced program that allows students to progress through the material at their own speed, one course at a time. With no weekly start or end dates for assignments, students can choose to move quickly or complete a minimum of 3 courses per term, making it adaptable to a variety of learning styles. Academic policies in the catalog restrict the completion of more than 8 courses in a four-month term. For reference, the average full-time on-campus college student completes 5-6 courses per term, making learning on the SOAR platform possible for accelerated completion while recognizing the quality and rigor expected of completing accredited college course work.
*Self-paced learning means you can complete an accelerated week or weekend of focused learning followed by a few busy, work or family days where you have no time to engage with the SOAR app content. The pace and timing are yours to control but you will need to commit to completing at least three courses every four months to remain in good standing for university and financial aid policies.
Is SOAR™ accredited?
Yes, students earn an accredited bachelor’s degree from Cornerstone University. The university and its business programs are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
How are the courses developed to meet academic standards?
SOAR™ courses are developed by Cornerstone University faculty who are academic and industry experts in their fields. Each course builds on an existing Cornerstone University curriculum, ensuring academic rigor while being adapted for SOAR’s fully mobile format. Course content is refined and enhanced to align with SOAR’s innovative structure, maintaining high-quality learning in a flexible, accessible format.
What is the cost of tuition?
Can I transfer previously earned credits?
Students can transfer up to 90 credits, or 75% of the degree requirements, including up to 30 of the 40 required courses. Enrollment counselors can assist in evaluating which courses are eligible for transfer.
Is there financial aid?
Financial aid is available to SOAR™ students. To apply, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list Cornerstone University (002266).
What student support is available?
When can I enroll?
Students can enroll anytime throughout the year. After completing the application for admission, being granted acceptance, receiving transcripts and filing FAFSA (if applicable), students can begin coursework within 2 weeks.
